SUMMARY:  On March 23, 2018, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) restored the partially vacated EPA SNAP ruling prohibiting the use of HFC refrigerants in Supermarket and Stand-Alone refrigeration systems.  This new California regulation does not address Warehouse or Cold Storage applications.  HFCs such as R507, R404 and R407 are presently allowed for these applications.
